Freshwater Reports / Day late....

Had to get out this morning and launched from Munden Point Park.  Conditions were good, but a bit murky.  Fished from 0700 - 1100 and found a few.

Highlight was a fat, drag screaming, head thrashing, twist my line up Bowfin at 26 inch 5 lb 5 oz.   Man that was great to have on the end of the line.  Little spinner was just barely hooked, can't believe I landed him.   Rusty has a video, but I suspect it is embarrassing.

A couple dinks, an ok crappie, a few small white perch, and then....

A 3 lb 3 oz 19 plus inch bass.  If I would have closed the mouth, suspect 19.27 inch and would have been a winner or close contender.   Ah well...  maybe next year and I can get a "Prickeral" as well....

As long as you have a flag, you are fine.

I haul my Ride 135 with a bed extender from a 6-1/2' bed.  I put strip of red reflective tape on the bottom bar of the T section and don't use a flag.  I've had city, county & state police behind me & have never had an issue, even at night, so if you use a flag, you should have no problems.

46.2-1121. Flag or light at end of load.
Whenever the load on any vehicle extends more than four feet beyond the rear of the bed or body thereof, there shall be displayed at the end of the load, in such a position as to be clearly visible at all times from the rear of the load, a red flag, not less than twelve inches, both in length and width. Between sunset and sunrise, however, there shall be displayed at the end of the load a red light plainly visible in clear weather at least 500 feet to the sides and rear of the vehicle.

Kayak Accesories / Rigging / Power Pole Micro Anchor

Power Pole Micro Anchor for sale.  Includes the anchor system, the 8.5' spike, and the rechargeable battery pack so you don't have to run a separate battery on the kayak.  All of that together retails for $900.  I'm asking $750 for the setup.  It's a year old but still in great shape.  Everything is clean and works great.  I have everything that comes with the power Pole and if you have an ATAK 140 I'll throw in the mounting plate for it.
