Nice catch Ron, you are always on the hunt. I haven't been on the water in a month. Actually hoping to get out this week as it's been too long - finally getting control of my "Honey Do" list.

Keep castin!

Upper North Landing.    usually only find small ones there, but my target species was bowfin.

Made a quick evening trip just before dark.   Couple dinks on the swim senko then tied on a Pop R.   Nice 2-7 landed and then the sky darkened and the sparkly stuff started to light up the sunset in the not so distant horizon.   Decided to bolt.

Just before recovering, threw the " one last cast" and sure nuff, Wham, run, and game on with a nice 5 lb 6 22 incher.    Glad I went.

Of course, wont find that come the bass tourney, but all good.

Haven't seen or heard of a single one in months. Last one I caught was last October on the Northern Neck. We're overdue for a good cycle of puppy drum.

Croaker, speckled trout  and short flounder are the fish du jour in Rudee. Sort of the same that Iíve encountered  in Lynnhaven so far this year.

Same here! High winds every day it seems. Have tried Back Bay several times the last week and got blown off the water way too early. Managed a few dinks to avoid a no slime day.

Haven't fished fresh water since 24 May,   a bit rusty.   Wind, high water and very murky but avoided the skunk with one dink bass and white perch.    Gotta focus and hope for good weather.
