kiddos to hubby for landing a bass during the eclipse. fun way to take it in

 >:( no cuz I didn't catch any lol. But yeah we had our glasses and were able to give some of the west neck bank anglers a nick peak. It is tough fishing there with all that high grass. Don't know how you do it

The grass is the KEY!   Find a feeder creek chock full of grass and you will find the bass.  Weed less plastics or top water (time of day) and they can't resist.  At least in theory!
