Falling Gauge equals good bite
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:06:48 PM »
Did a rare weekday double.  Fished Back Bay from 0630 - 0745 managing to find 7 small bass.  Nothing big, but they were very active.  Post work, grabbed the kid and headed to Milldam.

I thought I had the kid beat with a 3 lb 9, but just as I landed that one, he answered with a 4 lb 6.  Alex caught 9 Bass with top three at 2-10, 3-4 and 4-6.  I pulled in 12 but ten were dinks and a 2-2 and 3-9 on the higher end.  Also managed 4 Crappie, an 11in Yellow Perch, 15 inch Striper and a small white perch.  Zoom Flukes, Swimming Senko and Whopper Plopper were baits of choice.   Pan fish were attacking the dangled beetle Spins.

The North Wind provided some great weather and a productive falling river gauge.  Was a great evening.  That Rusty fella managed to find a few as well as two bowfin!
