Local freshwater tournament trail
« on: February 07, 2018, 09:01:47 AM »
Is anyone interested in putting together some kind of small tournament trail around the Hampton Roads area?

This would be more of a way to just get together and have some friendly competition.  I was thinking a $10 entry fee with 100% payout.  Very low key, no bells and whistles, just show up in the morning, put in your money, and fish.  Everyone meets back at a set time and figure out the winner.

There are enough different bodies of water around the area that it shouldn’t be hard to do.  Anyone want to help me do this?

Since I fish almost everyday, sure, I can contribute to someone else's winnings and deduct that as a charitable contribution!  Count me in.  Catch, Photo, release format?

Only problem I anticipate, is that some launches have limited parking.

Yes definitely CPR format.  There would definitely be some logistical things to figure out.  I just want to see what kind of interest there is in something like this.

Sounds good to. The only freshwater fishing I've done has been for big cats. Went 2 times beaverdam for crappie last spring. Would like to start a little base fishing.

Tournament not competitive enough without prizes  ;D
I thought all trophy format fish for fun and charity was enough?

I don’t have a problem with the tournament format of the club.  I’d like to fish semi competitively other times during the year.
