Way too long
« on: June 08, 2018, 09:53:35 PM »
Headed to an old haunt this evening in North Landing River.  It is a minimum half hour transit each way.   After two hours of trying just about everything, found a dink bass and a micro white perch on the trolled beetlespin.   As I exited the creek, the little 5 ft long ultra light rod doubled over and I somehow managed to wrestle in a 3 lb 11 Catfish.    Trying to work that cat with such a short rod was a chore.   Think I will go back to the full length ultra light.
