New member from the Virginia mountains

Got re-britten by the fishing bug a couple years ago, especially when some saltwater is involved. I've done a lot of surf casting over the years, but only 2 short trips in Pamlico sound with a kayak.

Though I've done thousands of miles on the upper James River, I realize places like Lynnhaven Inlet and the CBBT present a very different set of challenges. While catching fish is my goal, safety is paramount to me. Hoping to learn more on the subject from you folks.

Picking up a 2018 Hobie Outback tomorrow!
